Soaking cleans the beans from unwanted components, after which they are thoroughly dried at 100°C (212°F). We then use roller mills to receive fine chickpea flour. Don't confuse Chickpea Flour and Gram flour, which is made from split garbanzo beans vs. whole, and is used for different purposes.
